Fronx Vs Brezza Dimensions: Yes, There Is A Difference
The new Front is a Baleno-based cross-sub-compact SUV. It challenges the likes of Hyundai Venue and the KIA Sonet. While both are sub-4-meter SUVs, there is a difference in their size numbers. Since the Front is based on the Baleno, it gets somewhat the same space on offer.
Dimensions | ||
Fronx | Brezza | |
Length | 3995 mm | 3995 mm |
Breadth | 1765 mm | 1790 mm |
Height | 1550 mm | 1685 mm |
Wheelbase | 2520 mm | 2500 mm |
The design language on the Fronx is more fluidic while the Brezza has more of a boxy-styled SUV appeal. The length is exactly the same but the Brezza is wider and higher. Surprisingly, the wheelbase is longer on the Fronx although only by 20 mm.
Engine: What's Under The Hood?
The only turbo engine from the house of Maruti Suzuki, the Boosterjet Turbo has made its comeback with the Fronx which was discontinued earlier. The Fronx is offered with 2 engine options. A 1.2-litre mild hybrid Naturally Aspirated petrol engine that makes 90 PS of power with 113 Nm torque. It comes with both a 5-speed manual and an AMT variant. This is the same engine that is offered on the Baleno. The other option is the 1.0 lite Boosterjet turbo petrol, which makes 100 PS power and a torque of 148 Nm. This comes in both a 5-speed MT and a 6-speed AT version. If you want a more agile performance from the Fronx, this is what you should opt.

Fronx | Brezza | |
Engine | 1.2 litre NA petrol 4-cylinder / 1.0 litre Boosterjet 3-cylinder turbo petrol | 4 cylinder 1.5 litre NA petrol with mild hybrid |
Torque | 113 Nm / 148 Nm | 137 Nm |

Brezza, on the other hand, has a single-engine option to carry out the task. A 4-cylinder 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol unit produces 105 PS of power and a torque of 137 Nm. The transmission options available are both a 5-speed MT and a 6-speed AT.
Features Comparison: Something's Missing
Both the Fronx and Brezza are loaded when it comes to the features on board. Both get the same 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Heads-up display, 360-degree camera, cruise control, premium ARAKAMYS sound system, connected car tech system, The Suzuki connect, paddle shifters and many more. The feature list is almost similar.
Although one thing the Brezza gets over the Fronx is the sunroof, which you will miss on the Fronx.
Fronx Vs Brezza: Platform
Brezza shares its platform with the Grand Vitara and the Toyota Urban Cruiser christened the Suzuki Global C Platform. Fronx, on the other hand, is based on the same Heartect platform being employed on the Baleno.
This is the major underpinning that differentiates the two on the body structure and the kind of space management on offer. This is the key disconnect between the two, even after being in the sub-4-meter SUV category.
- Fronx is a little shorter and less wide than the Brezza
- Brezza gets a sunroof, which is surprisingly skipped on the Fronx
- Fronx gets a turbo petrol engine as an option as well, for those looking for a sportier output.
VERDICT - Maruti Suzuki stood at the centre of the spotlight with the unveiling of the 5-door Jimny. What equally attracted the world's attention was the unveiling of the Fronx. It created a similar buzz and was the talk of the town at the Auto Expo 2023. The Brezza and the Fronx are based on different platforms and so differ in practicality and the space on offer. the features however remain almost twins. The pricing of the Fronx isn't out yet, but it could be higher than the Baleno and less than the Brezza. The choice is going to be a little difficult for you.
