Renault Kiger- 405 litre
The Renault Kiger is available in 3 variants in India which include RXE, RXL, RXT, RXT (O) and RXZ trims. It comes with a starting price tag of Rs. 6 lakh and goes up to Rs. 11.23 lakh. The Kiger SUV is offered with two powertrain options- a 1 litre NA engine that produces 72 Ps and 6 Nm and a 1 litre turbo petrol engine which is capable of producing 100 PS and 160 Nm. The 1-litre unit gets a 5-speed manual or AMT transmission while the 1-litre turbo unit comes linked to a 5-speed manual or a CVT unit.
In terms of features, the Kiger gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, a 7-inch digital driver's display, push-button start/stop, auto-dimming IRVM and automatic climate control.
Hyundai Exter- 391 Litre
The Hyundai Exter is one of the most value-for-money cars in its segment. It is available in seven variants in India- EX, EX (O), S, S (O), SX, SX (O) Connect. The Hyundai Exter sources its power from a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 83 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT unit. The Exter is also available in a CNG version which has a claimed fuel efficiency of 27.1 km per kg.
As far as the features are concerned, the Hyundai Exter has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. In addition to this, it gets cruise control. wireless charging, Automatic climate control and dual dash cam.
Kia Sonet- 392 litre
The Kia Sonet is a premium compact SUV offered by the automaker. It comes with a starting price tag of Rs. 8 lakh (ex-showroom) which goes up to Rs. 15.77 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The Sonet is available in three powertrain options- 1.2 litre NA engine (83 PS and 115 Nm), 1-litre turbo petrol (120 PS and 172 Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel unit (116 PS and 250 Nm).
The Sonet compact SUV offers features such as a dual 10.25-inch display ( infotainment display and digital driver's display). Other features of the SUV include a single pane sunroof, ventilated seats, air purifier, auto climate control, 7-speaker Bose Audio and connected car tech.
Tata Nexon- 382 litre
The Tata Nexon is one of the most popular sub-compact SUVs in India. It is offered in four variants in India- Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless and then there are sub-trims of each variant. The Nexon gets two engine options- a 1.2-litre engine that comes mated to a 5-speed manual (base variant), and higher variants get a 6-speed manual, AMT or 7-speed DCT unit. There's also an option of a 1.5-litre diesel engine, mated to 6-speed manual or AMT unit. The Tata Nexon starts at Rs. 8 lakh (ex-showroom) which goes up to 15.80 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
On the feature front, the Tata Nexon gets a dual 10.25-inch display (infotainment display and driver's display) and automatic climate control. Other features of the Nexon SUV include ventilated front seats, wireless charging, rear AC vents and a 360-degree camera.
Hyundai Venue- 350 litre
The Hyundai Venue also offers one of the largest boot space in the segment. The sub-compact SUV is available in six variants in India- E, Executive, S, S+/S (O), SX and SX (O). The Venue starts at Rs. 7.94 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs. 13.48 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The sub-compact SUV gets three engine options- 1.2-litre petrol, 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel unit.
In terms of features, the Hyundai Venue is loaded with features like an 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition to this, the Venue gets auto climate control, air purifier, push start/stop button and 4-way powered driver's seat.
