Hyundai offers two electric vehicles in India, namely the Kona Electric and the Ioniq 5. While there hasn't been any update on the pricing for the Kona Electric, there's news about a price increase for the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The new price is now Rs. 46,05,000 (ex-showroom), reflecting a Rs. 10,000 hike. The Ioniq 5 comes in three color choices: Gravity Gold Matte, Midnight Black Pearl, and Optic White.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 - Details
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has a sleek design, measuring 4,635 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. Its electric motor is a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), and it packs a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery with a heating system, boasting a substantial 72.6 kWh capacity. When it comes to performance, the Ioniq 5's motor delivers a maximum power of 160 kW (217 ps) and a torque of 350 Nm (35.7 kgm).
Charging the Ioniq 5 is convenient, offering 11 kW AC charging that takes about 6 hours and 55 minutes to reach 100%. For faster charging, the DC option provides 150 kW charging, taking just 21 minutes to go from 10% to 80%, or an even quicker 18 minutes with a 350 kW charger. The Ioniq 5 operates with a Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) system and boasts an impressive ARAI-certified range of 631 km on a fully charged battery.

This electric car comes with a single-speed reduction gear transmission and a suspension system featuring McPherson struts in the front and a multi-link setup in the rear. The braking system includes discs on both the front and rear wheels, complemented by 20-inch alloy wheels with 255/45 R20 tires and a spare Tyre Mobility Kit.
In terms of technology and comfort, the car boasts twin 12.5-inch screens for the infotainment and digital instrument cluster. Entertainment is enhanced by an eight-speaker Bose audio system, while climate control is managed through Dual Zone FATC with auto defogger. Additional features include Drive mode select, a wireless phone charger, rear window sunshade, vehicle-to-load capability, active air flaps, and powered and ventilated front seats. Safety is prioritized with a Level 2 ADAS safety suite.
