Maruti Swift Vs Baleno - Dimensions & Design
Maruti Swift and Baleno both shares a lot in common and sit on the same Heartect platform as well. If we talk about the design and dimensions, obviously the Baleno is a bigger car. Both the cars have flowing lines all around but the Swift feels a tad mature and tauter in terms of design. The Baleno also received a mid-life facelift last year and it seemed even better thanks to the new dual-tone alloy wheels. Both the cars get LED projectors, dual-tone alloy wheels and LED taillights in top variants.

Maruti Swift Vs Baleno - Interiors
Things change a bit in this department. The Baleno offers contemporary interior design with minimalist interesting touches to attract prospective buyers. On the other hand, Swift has been targeted towards the youth with its all-black sporty interior, twin pot instrument binnacle, tilted touchscreen towards the driver and flat-bottom steering wheel. All these touches give it a youthful appeal whereas the Baleno impresses with its simple and convenient design. Both cars offer 7-inch Smart play studio system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, automatic climate control and multifunction steering wheel.
Maruti Swift Vs Baleno - Engine and Performance
Maruti Suzuki launched the Baleno facelift with a new 1.2-litre dual jet petrol engine and the same engine has also been launched with the Dzire. The Swift is yet to get the dual jet engine. The Maruti Baleno offers the same 1.2-litre VVT engine in base variants and with CVT gearbox but in top variants, the 1.2-litre dual jet engine is offered with the smart hybrid system. The Swift doesn't have Smart hybrid technology and it has been offered with a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox.

Maruti Baleno with Smart hybrid offers a whooping 24.87 km/l which is excellent for a petrol manual. The reason why the mileage of the CVT is at 19.56 km/l is that the CVT neither gets the hybrid system nor the updated dual jet motor which is offered with the manual gearbox.
