Mahindra XUV 3XO - Rs 7.49 Lakh
Mahindra XUV 3XO is the recent entrant in the sub-4 meter SUV market. The SUV comes with a starting price of 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra has offered a 1.2-litre TCMPFI turbo petrol engine starting from the base model of the SUV. However, the upper spec variants come with a 1.2-litre TGDi turbo petrol engine. The former produces 108 bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque, while the latter produces 128 bhp of power and 230 Nm of peak torque. The XUV 3XO boasts a plethora of features such as a 360-degree camera, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, and an electric sunroof among others.
Tata Nexon - Rs 8 Lakh
Tata Nexon is another sub-4-metre SUV that comes with a turbo petrol engine in all variants. It comes equipped with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine which produces 118 bhp of power and 170 Nm of peak torque. Depending on the variant, the brand has equipped this engine with different transmission options which include a 5-speed MT, 6-speed MT, 6-speed AMT, and a 7-speed DCA gearbox. Nissan Magnite XV - Rs 9.19 Lakh
Nissan Magnite is the only vehicle available from the house of Japanese Carmaker in India. The Magnite comes with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 98 bhp of power and 160 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated with a 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox. The Magnite is one of the most feature-rich small SUVs available in the market. It offers a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless charging, 360-camera, and automatic climate control among other features. Renault Kiger RXT(O) - Rs 9.29 Lakh
Renault Kiger is based on the same platform and boasts almost similar features as the Nissan Magnite. The Kiger also gets a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 98 bhp and 160 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox. Similar to the Magnite, the Kiger also gets automatic climate control, a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless charging among other features.
Tata Altroz Racer - Rs 9.49 Lakh
Tata Altroz Racer is the sporty iteration of the Altroz hatchback and it comes with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. The turbocharged petrol engine in the Racer edition produces 118 bhp of power and 170 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated with a 6-speed manual transmission only. The Altroz Racer has recently entered the Indian Book of Records for being the fastest hatchback in India. It comes with features like an electric sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, wireless charging, 360-degree camera, and other features.
KIA Sonet HTK - Rs 9.60 Lakh
KIA India has recently launched its turbo petrol engine in the Sonet HTK variant. The brand has made the turbo petrol offering more affordable with the HTK turbo variant. It comes with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 118 bhp of power and 172 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed iMT gearbox for the HTK variant while the upper variants come with an option of a 7-speed DCT gearbox as well.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Delta+ - Rs 9.72 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki has brought back the 1.0-litre boosterjet turbo engine with the launch of Fronx in the market. The brand initially launched the turbo petrol engine in the top-spec variant but recently this engine option has become more affordable with the inclusion of the engine in the Delta+ variant. The Fronx turbo option comes with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 98.6 bhp of power and 148 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated with a 5-speed manual and an AT gearbox.
Hyundai i20 N Line N6 - Rs 9.99 Lakh
Hyundai i20 N Line is another hatchback in the list which comes with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine. The price of the i20 N Line starts at Rs 9.99 lakh (Ex-showroom). The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine in the i20 N Line produces 118 bhp of power and 172 Nm of peak torque and is mated with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox. On the features front, it gets an electric sunroof, wireless charging, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, a digital instrument cluster, and automatic climate control among other features.

Hyundai Venue Executive - Rs 10 Lakh
The last car in the list of cars with turbo petrol engines under Rs 10 lakh is the Hyundai Venue. However, the Venue Executive Turbo trim is priced at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The Venue gets the same turbo engine as the i20 N Line and it produces the same amount of power and torque. This engine comes with a 6-speed MT and a 7-speed DCT gearbox in Venue.
Verdict
With the increasing demand, carmakers are introducing new and affordable variants of their turbo petrol option cars. The list of turbo petrol cars under Rs 10 lakh now includes a total of 9 options, compared to just 4-5 cars a year or two ago. The growing demand for turbo petrol engines is fueled by the incresing number of young car buyers in India.
